A Private, Single-Group Experience
We host only one guest group at a time at Freedom Adventures Ecolodge.
During your stay, your group will be the only guests hosted within Haapai village, allowing for a quiet, personal, and unhurried experience.
This creates a unique sense of space and connection—both within your group, the community and with the surrounding environment.

For Ocean Lovers & Adventurers
Roviana Lagoon offers exceptional opportunities for fishing, snorkelling, and time on the water.
Your experience can include regular time exploring the lagoon, whether that’s casting a line, snorkelling reefs, or simply being out on the boat.
Each stay is shaped around your group’s interests, allowing for a balance of adventure and rest.

The Experience - More Than a Stay
A Shared Island Journey

At Freedom Adventures Ecolodge, your time in Roviana Lagoon is not just a holiday—it’s a fully hosted, all-inclusive experience designed for connection, adventure, and meaningful moments together.
Each experience is shaped not only by the environment, but by a shared respect for the culture, community, and natural systems that make this place what it is.
From the moment you arrive in Munda, everything is taken care of. Your days unfold naturally between exploring the lagoon, sharing meals, and enjoying the relaxed rhythm of island life.
This is a place where your group slows down, reconnects, and experiences something truly different—together.
A Journey That Stays With You
HaÊ»apai isn’t somewhere you simply visit — it’s somewhere you feel.
Time slows, senses sharpen, and connection naturally returns — to nature, to people, and to yourself. As guests and temporary stewards, you become part of a living landscape where respect, curiosity, and openness guide the experience.
Leave with more than memories: renewed perspective, deeper appreciation for the natural world, and stories you’ll carry long after the journey ends.

Explore the Beauty of Roviana Lagoon

Set within the vast and vibrant Roviana Lagoon on New Georgia Island,
your experience extends far beyond one location.
Each day offers something new: Cruise across crystal-clear waters by boat,
visit remote beaches and nearby islands,
snorkel vibrant coral reefs or discover hidden corners of the lagoon

The beauty here is expansive, untouched, and constantly changing.

Line Fishing – Catch Your Own Dinner

Experience the thrill of traditional line fishing in the lagoon.
Head out by boat, cast a line, and enjoy the excitement of catching your own fish—then return to have it prepared as part of your meal.
It’s simple, hands-on, and incredibly rewarding.

Snorkelling & Reef Exploration
Step into a world beneath the surface.
With guided snorkelling experiences included, you’ll explore colourful reefs teeming with marine life in some of the most pristine waters in the Solomon Islands.
Whether you’re experienced or trying it for the first time, this is a highlight of the journey. For guests interested in scuba diving, we’re also happy to help arrange diving experiences with a locally operated dive centre in the region.
Saikile Passage Cultural Experience
Journey through the historically rich waters of Saikile Passage, a place of deep cultural significance within Roviana Lagoon.
Guided by local knowledge, you’ll visit ancient headhunting sites, traditional shrines, and remnants of old fortifications—each carrying stories that connect the past with the present.
This experience is shared with respect and care, offering insight into the history, traditions, and cultural identity of the region.

Tetepare – The Last Wild Island

Journey to Tetepare Island, one of the Pacific’s most remarkable examples of community-led conservation.
Protected by its traditional landowners and conservation partners, Tetepare remains untouched by permanent human settlement—its forests, reefs, and wildlife preserved through generations of cultural stewardship.
During your visit, you’ll gain insight into how local knowledge, cultural values, and collective action work together to protect biodiversity for future generations.
In the right season, you may have the rare opportunity to witness green and hawksbill turtles, guided by Tetepare’s island rangers whose work supports nesting protection, monitoring, and marine conservation.
As part of your experience, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared custom island meal—shared in this extraordinary setting, adding another layer of connection to place, people, and culture.
This is more than a visit—it’s a chance to experience a place where nature and culture remain deeply connected.

A Fully Hosted Experience
Your stay is personally hosted to ensure everything runs smoothly.
From coordinating activities to supporting communication with the local community, your host is there to guide your experience while respecting your group’s space and privacy.
This allows you to fully relax, knowing every detail is taken care of.

No two stays are exactly the same.
Weather, tides, your group’s energy, and the rhythm of the lagoon all shape your experience—creating something that feels natural, flexible, and personal.
